…and so it begins.

It’s the forerunner of Walmart, aka BCMART.

I accidentally posted this at the end of yesterday’s strip, so I’m re-posting it here -

In response to Markmoss1 from yesterday-" our current mail carrier, who cannot tell E Elmore St from E Elm St. In a town that’s 12 blocks long and 6 blocks wide" — your town sounds similar in size to my town. What is your population? We’re just a tad over 1600.

To WDD from yesterday I did not know this cartoonist, John Hart died (or maybe I heard it and just forgot). When did he die? Are all these strips reruns? Our paper stopped carrying this strip years ago because people objected to the sometimes religious tones. I’ve always liked this strip.

This makes me think of The Store by Bentley Little. Not a place you want in your neighborhood.

Had to re-read it…‘Let me see your wallet’..is saying, ‘here, you haven’t been there yet, I’ll hold your wallet and save your money…’
