My 2 are thoroughly enjoying the fact I’m home sick right now. They’re channeling their inner Chesney and demanding to go on the back deck, have more food, and generally be fussed over … no sympathy for me from them either. They’re currently checking in to see why I’m not moving off the couch to let them outside when they’re being so clear about what they want even though it’s still dark out
Good morning, fellow Graham Crackers. Got some truly excellent news yesterday.
Puddin’ Pop is going to be adopted by one of the vet techs! I took the Popster and Moose for their checkups and xrays (to make sure no stones have returned) and Alesha said she wished she could have her. She said she’s wanted her since the day I took her in the first time but didn’t want to ask in case I wanted to keep her.
I said I only kept her because I don’t trust people here to buy the $$$ cat food and make sure she gets her xray every 6 months, but I am not attached to her.
Alesha has another cat, Dora, that looks like Puddin’. I saw her picture on the bulletin board. She said Dora is 14, and too lazy to get into trouble. Like Puddin’ , she might hiss at a cat but is too lazy to do anything about it.
Also, she had to get rid of a (now ex) husband and get a new house. She’s done both but can’t move until March, which is when she will take Puddin’.
I told her I should take her picture and keep showing it to Puddin and tell her that’s it her new mama.
Petri, one of the office cats, was wearing his Santa suit, complete with hat, yesterday. I took some pictures and if anyone wants to put them on fb, let me know and will email them to you.
My cats are suggesting I’m mean because I’m not letting them outside today. It’s only 8F out there and even colder with the wind. Luckily just light wind so far, but the forecast calls for MUCH worse chill factors over the next few days (like as low as -25). The cats don’t know how lucky they are to be confined to a warm house! We’re supposed to get more snow this weekend (for the third week in a row), but I have a rare Saturday off, so if the snow can just hold off until late on Friday might, I won’t have to worry too much about driving in it. Driving home from work after that last storm was a bit hairy, but I’ve driven in much worse, Just had to drive more slowly. But a 21 mile commute seems to take forever when you’re driving 35-40 MPH. Stay warm fellow Graham Crackers – and let’s not catch poor little Annie’s code! Poor kid!
Haven’t commented in awhile and like some of the others I am nursing a cold. I have not had one of these in several years!! Nice to see some of the regulars still around. I get to facebook from time to time to see some of bbears work.
The fostering is going well we have 4 ready to go..one calico (gorgeous coloring) we call Muffin then there is a bonded pair, a tabico and a gray and white. The “Spice girls”, since one is named Sugar and they other Cinnamon..the latter having some vision issues but can see, just not too well. She ran into a stucco wall while running from the person trying to catch her when she was feral, injured both eyes..but the vet saved them. One eye is sort of milky and the other a bit crossed, but she can see the red laser dot to play..sort of. The remaining two Mike and his sister Maya are being let out and playing with the house cats. At least trying to, I have a couple of old grumps who don’t like anyone!
Ah yes, life in a cat house. We all know the pain and joy of that. Which reminds me, please everyone have a safe and joyous holiday and most of all love the furry ones. Peace..
No sign of snow here, but if you believe the Daily Express newspaper we’re in for a snowpocalypse on Christmas. I have my doubts. They say the same thing every year and they’re never right!

Poor Annie, she should be home in bed, not in a drafty warehouse.

Is Chesney’s mask too tight?
Or, is it not tight enough?

I’ve got eight pictures for you today on the Ten Cats Fan Club Page on Facebook. Starting with:
Are you a cat person? If so, then you may have seen something similar to these three kitties looking through the bathroom door at you.

This kitty denies ever doing catnip, but just in case, he might be interested if you had any to share.

A cute kitten post. When your human is ignoring you, a kitten has to work extra hard to get the attention it needs.

A Christmas themed post. This Christmas tree doesn’t look strange to a cat owner.
