Percussive Maintenance!

The first thing the maintenance engineers at the TV station I worked at would try when a piece of equipment was malfunctioning was to give it a whack. Often, the source of the trouble was a slightly loose solder connection, and the whack would serve as a temporary fix.

Earl’s methods work in a comics world, but I can’t see me trying hitting my iPad on my desk as hard as Earl did.

Then you go cook yourself. Ugh!

Somebody I used to be related to would start taking apart anything that didn’t work. I think smacking it (or him) would have done more good.

“Did you unplug it?” is shorter.

I thought it was smoking yesterday. They don’t fix themselves after that.
