Ed might be about to start 2017 with a bang or maybe just pecking up chicken feed.

You got to be very specific with your requests to Ed, Dana. Some people are just like that.

I hadn’t noticed the copy of Watership Down on Jay’s desk yesterday, and had to check on the Charlotte’s Web tie-in for Debbie Reynolds. I hadn’t realized she voiced Charlotte.Together, what a great pair of very subtle tributes!(Thank you, northstardust, for pointing them out.)

The 1973 version of “Charlotte’s Web” was animated by Hanna-Barbera with music by the Sherman Brothers. (I think nearly every kid’s musical back then had music by the Sherman Brothers.)

It might’ve been more fun to have the “Working Daze” cast saluting Ms. Reynolds with either a rousing rendition of "Good Morning’ " or, better yet, having them all dancin’ and singin’ in the rain. I know, Gene Kelly was the one who did that in the movie, but still —

I think Ed got it right – I also liked 2012 better than 2016.

Uh oh, Ed. Don’t get on the wrong side of Dana. Not if you know what’s good for you.
