When we were kids and asked our mum what was for dinner she’d answer with something equally gross. Salmon Sundaes, pizza with maple syrup, pickled bees’ knees, or chicken soup with fudge dumplings – which we always hoped she actually fix.
Never heard of brussels sprouts? What planet are you from, kid? I’ve at least HEARD of them. I’ll never have the courage to EAT them. Now rhubarb fritters? That could be interesting. I’m not the biggest fan of rhubarb, but I have had rhubarb pie which to me tasted similar to apple.
