I usually love Mondays because it’s usually my Saturday. My schedule can vary a great deal (this week, I’m off on Monday and Wednesday), but recently, I’ve been off for my “weekends” on Mondays and Tuesdays.
When my husband & I were first married, we lived with my FIL, and my husband worked 2nd shift. There was a standing lamp in the living room with one of those wheel-style switches in the cord. One time my FIL asked my husband not to leave that lamp on; my husband said that he didn’t even turn it on. FIL said, “So, what…the CAT did it?” That evening, while FIL & I were watching, we saw our cat, Tiki (who was 25 lbs. and had an extra “toe” on each front paw, resembling thumbs), walk up to the lamp, look at us…and, using his front paw like a hand, TURNED THE LAMP ON! Yeah, we apologized to my husband the next morning.

That may get rid of the cold, but not Monday.

My apartment building has two settings: “off” and “I’m melting!” (It’s now 2:30 AM and the temp in my living room is 83 degrees.)

Oh Aye, the olde stick in the glove trick. You’d think with all that fat and fur Garf would prefer it less hot and a bit cooler?

The cats here use solar power-like sitting on a conservatory roof.

It really grinds my gears when somebody messes about with the room temperature! It isn’t a toy.

Prof. Farnsworth invented that in the early 3000’s and Garfield is using it in 2017.
