Just how long has Luann owned Puddles? Surely she must’ve known his facial expressions by now.

Urine trouble now, Puddles! At least dog pee doesn’t stink half as bad as cat pee.

I like the way Puddles is still a little drippy in the final panel.

That’s why I don’t have pets. Life is tough & busy enough without them.

It’s good to know Luann is responsible enough to take Puddles out for his walks and play time… even if she’s not all that good about reading his signals. (Pssst… Luann… dogs like people need to “go” more frequently as they get older….)

Puddles says, “Just call me Pee – Pee ‘cause I’m all You’rine…”

Well, that is how Puddles got that name….

….of course, he probably didn’t care to go outside this time, and Luann got the signals crossed…after Puddles crossed his own….

Sometimes several comics have a similar theme. Do you think GC suggests a theme? Anyhow this one is cute. You go girl!

She has to primp to take the dog out?? She deserves pee on the rug!!

Pee break. Puddles deserves an honorable mention as a recurring character. I don’t have anything long or pithy to say except that long live Puddles. He is a mainstay.

Why does she think she named him “Puddles” in the first place? And why else did she think he wanted to go out?

Puddles: “HEY! YOU named me ‘Puddles’! I’ve a reputation to uphold – or in this case – let go…”

That is, if dogs could talk. :)

So, Luann makes an appearance. She makes the GHASTLY mistake of thinking the dog wants to play outside, which incidently will likely mean peeing as well. YES amazing as that may seem. We see her apparently ONLY put on foot wear and a jacket and GASP!!! brush her hair before going outside in public, for what may be a trip to the dog park or whatever. So of COURSE she is a moron and should have seen this coming. After all if we don’t complain about something our work is not done. So sorry that Greg did not fgure developing the powers of levitation, or a cure for cancer. Some of you would complain she was putting doctors out of work.

Totally Luann’s fault. Since Puddles is a boy dog, that pee should be running down the wall or door. His signal was very clear, but when in doubt, let them out.

Last panel: not a good face day for Luann. She looks particularly homely.

This is good training for when she has kids. The more innocent/needy/whatever younguns look, the likelier it is that it’s too late….

It’s your own fault, Luann. Why on earth does taking Puddles for a little walk require such elaborate and time-consuming preparation?

Fences are a good idea, especially if you have pets, except for cats.

It must be difficult to draw the interior of peoples’ homes w/o stereotypes and sameness. That said, it looks like Luann and Nancy are standing in the corridor of a motel. There’s no feeling of a home, except that Puddles is there.

That is what you get for keeping a guy waiting.

Puddles deserves better. Snoopy should organize a protest.

@BJSHIPLEY1 , re: “Blaming the dog?”:) No…I’m saying that Luann mixed up his “play” and his “go” signals. Strip history shows that Luann’s “messy bedroom” is the quivalent of Puddles’ own, uh, “puddles”.

….Which meant she thought she had time, which seems to be what Greg was going for…

no, that eager “let’s go!” while pacing in front of the door is almost always a “I have to GO!” in dog speak… the only time they are like that in front of the door otherwise is if you’ve gotten them hyped up about going for a walk…
