Because I cannot fly

I don’t even try.

Because I am so slow

I don’t even try to go.

Because I am alone

I try to seem a stone.

Of all the things I’ve tried

The best is but to hide.

Easy for him to say.

Get the most use out of that expression, I guess.

Whichever I choose, I try to combine it with treachery and deceit.

Back to B.C. today is a nice complement to this one. For turtles, it’s bite or hide – or slowly mosey away.
