Was in stop and go rush hour traffic one morning this week. 20-something kid was messing with his phone when he rear ended my vehicle. Since he had almost hit me once, you would have thought he’d put the blasted thing away and paid attention. Lots of damage—never once apologized.
Are they that interested in only themselves and whatever sensationalist events are broadcast every minute? Or do they use that device to avoid having to ever say ‘Excuse me,’ or ‘Sorry, I didn’t hear you,’ or ‘How can I help you?’ – the last one requiring commitment to someone or something outside oneself?
