Do they even use a dish washing machine (like we do)?

My people eschew using a dishwashing machine ( surprised ? ) it has nothing to do with economics but is usually a personal preference.

Even when I had a dishwashing machine, I rarely used it. I prefer to do the washing up by hand – and yes, I’m the one who is the chief dishwasher in the house.

My dad would have made us rewash all of them, including every dish in the cupboard. I kid you not. If he found a dirty plate or piece of silverware that’s what we did. Takes me forever to do my dishes now.

“Just about” might count in hand grenades and horseshoes, but it doesn’t count in dishwashing.

I remember, way back before dishwashers, being the kid forced to wash the dishes, I dropped and broke so many"by accident" that my mother quickly found different things for me to do.
