Was it wolves that night?? Remember the wolves don’t know who painted Portia’s apartment. Could this be someone playing both sides against the other. A serial killer on the loose using the wolves as unwilling suspects. Pigs are vanishing……that is just it……..no trace……no evidence except that drug left at that one scene……a powerful non FDA approved tranquilizer. Something wicked has come to Endtown. Now is the time for the gumshoe of Endtown to get off the sauce and on the case.Who will step up to solve this mystery……..if it looks like Scooby Do……XD
What’s with Dottie? She sees nothing threatening in the night being shattered by the calls of just one type of anthro? And she thinks that wolves getting bad press outweighs multiple total disappearances of anthros—and only one kind of anthro at that? Any wolves going missing? Does she think the missing pigs are part of some porcine plot to go hide somewhere?
This is the first time since November, I think, that we’ve gotten anything definitive about what is going on around here. Even still, it’s not all that definitive. Summary: Pigs are disappearing; that has been documented, though not by Dottie. At least two wolves are acting suspiciously, assuming the two wolves who accosted Portia back in November are the ones who witnessed (if not participated in) the vandalism of Portia’s apartment. But not all wolves are involved, as witnessed by the janitor who helped Heather Hoss.
Concern is expressed that the media (Dottie) is biased in favor of the wolves, that wolves are the “underdog” here, in spite of the missing pigs. I don’t know the name of Dottie’s editor, but apparently, the editor is conceding that at some point, one or more wolves were the victim of something. But what?
Well, look at this…! A wolf who is actually concerned about the missing pigs. Even more concerned than Dottie. I wonder how Miss Piggy: Attorney at Law feels about the missing pigs?
Or was she actually enjoying last night’s Howling Mad Concerto?
@ Three Steps Over Japan, Sandra Skeba, and Robert Nowall: From under the bridge (where us trolls live), hey guys, your comments are better than the comic!
I also looked up hagiography. The definition I found fits perfectly in this scenario: [derogatory] adulatory writing about another person. I was amused at Dottie’s indignant comments about bias, when she’s already demonstrated that she’s biased!

When it’s said all the real journalists have gone underground, they weren’t kidding.

Who’s the mouse standing there in Panel One? Looks enough like Holly Hollister to be her brother.

Personal bias: Once upon a time, it was supposed to be Walt and Dottie. Now it’s Walt and Portia. Did Dottie dump a bear for a wolf?

Stereotyping does NOT mean using both hands.

Am I the only one who had to look up the meaning of ‘hagiography’?

@ ckcsmum: Yeah, I had to look up hagiography, too. Don’t ask me how to pronounce it, though!

Also I like the big old “Krupp” typewriter. But I think we’ve seen it before—-or at least, the brand name.

She needs to realize that after the porcine population is gone, the capybaras may be next.

Another example of why the attackers probably weren’t wolves. Our big bad wolf editor here has his ears back but it’s not him being agro
