They’re morons for using cash and giving a cash prize instead of cutting the winner a check. If you won and the audience saw them presenting you with cash, you would be marked for robbery as you left the convention hall.

Note that this guy Brian is in a wheelchair. I wonder who his group is that donated the other $7,000.

“No prize money for him” is the ultimate irony here! Of course, “he” (Middle Margie in reality) has all the prize money and doesn’t even look all that suspicious running away with the pursefull of prize money.

Only just now noticed the ‘Cosplay Thief’s’ eyes in the shadows in panel one.

I just saw a story that Fox is negotiating to buy Tribune Media, lock, stock, and Dick Tracy. I wonder. If they do buy it, they’ll still have to fight with Warren Beatty.

It’s possible that Astor never made it to the cosplay contest, which could explain why Honeymoon appeared so concerned yesterday.

He might be stuck in the ‘Buster Bot’ costume.

If that’s ‘Middle Margie’ dressed as the very masculine-seeming ‘Cosplay Thief,’ her cosplay is actually pretty good.

FUN FACT: In horse racing, the money paid out to winning ticket holders is referred to as the “Purse”…

… which is what the ‘Cosplay Thief’ just made off with.

I’m betting Honeymoon and Astor (in the Buster Bot) catch the thief.

Gee, I wonder if there’s a possibility that Honeymoon might just bump into our robber friend. WHAT A SURPRISE THAT WOULD BE!! Who knows, maybe Honeymoon can sent out an SOS to fake Mysta who’ll fly to the rescue. THAT should make all the Moonies out there feel a tingle down their leg!

The Robber would change out fits and stay at the Convention for a time. Unless Tracy gets all exits blocked.

Cos con cosplay, robbery division. Middle Margie makes an effective bandit, fleeing with the $10K, to the ironic commentary of the conventioneers in the background of panel 3. Big Margie played her part well, and poor Brian was completely caught off-guard. So, it remains to be seen who or what will get in the way of Middle Margie before the caper is closed out: maybe Honeymoon with her developing Powers; or Astor in the Buster Bot suit; or perhaps Tracy himself, though I tend to expect him to be second-in-line to end the heist. We may or may not see Svengoolie again (perhaps in a wind-up scene thanking Tracy and his cosplaying helpers…).
