What’s the caliber of the bullet?

That’s classified. We just call it X caliber.

i thought it needed a safer latch,

and made a brief case for it…

Such a great setup, and I can’t come up with a single pun. Glad to see others aren’t afflicted like that.

Bond was issued the attache case, a standard-issue kit for agents in the field, in the movie adaptation of “From Russia With Love”. In the movie, the case didn’t fire any bullets but held a rife and rounds (along with other items). Bond didn’t start his humorous back-and-forth with Q until the following movie, “Goldfinger”. Of special note, the character of Q was created for the films and did not exist in the novels. The closest character from the novels was the armorer – Major Boothroy (or Boothroyd) – seen in M’s office in “Dr. No”.
