It’s bad enough we have a POTUS setting the example for non-readers, but with the ever diminishing attention span of Americans, it is hard for a writer to find a literary market for a book.
I’m not sure which is the greater struggle, sometimes. Writing the damn book or getting people to buy it, and read it !
My wife kept telling me I needed to write Harlequins because they are almost “fill in the blanks” formulistic, but I told her Dave Berg (Mad’s Lighter Side of Love) would have to illustrate it because it would inevitably come out a satire.
