The fact that they still control the most of the Electoral Votes with only 1/3rd of the population of the US these days is the problem.
The folks in Carbon County, Wyoming have more of a voice in the Federal Government than somebody living in Oakland, California—despite the fact that the populations of Oakland and the entire state of Wyoming have about the same populations these days.

1,200 miles?….more than that!…Some people consider anything between S.F/L.A. and N.Y./Wash. D.C. as flyover country!…. I don’t agree with them!
