Bear with me and let’s get this straight… Strait is the proper spelling here. It might be the Bering Strait, but these guys are in dire straits, for sure.

Hey, maybe it means no matter your “Bearing”, you will head “Straight” to where you should be going!

Later, we’ll talk about the song “Puff the Magic Dragon”, and why “ceiling wax” has nothing whatsoever to do with “floor wax”.

Due to global warming now assisted by President Stupid’s withdrawal from the Paris accord, the passengers in the life boat are in a better situation than the Wiley polar bear on the melting iceberg.

Back to Alexikakos statement – you can really tick off a Texan by telling him/her that there is a plan to cut Alaska in half and make Texas the THIRD largest state.

Bearing that in mind and the fact that the ice is less and not as thick as it once was and the opening of the north-west passage has happened. It could get very wet as time moves on.

This bear bares a likeness to the Berenstain bears of the Bering Strait…..? ….. I bet we can see Russia from here! …. No, that’s another joke!

I think a lot of commenters are missing the point here. It’s not the “Bering” part of the name that the rower is wondering about, it’s the “Strait” part. A strait is a narrow strip of water where you can see dry land (or at least solid ice) on both sides. Here it’s melted back so far that you can’t see either side.

Thanks for verifying that; it just doesn’t lend itself to puns and they can’t help themselves.
