One of my favorite pictures of Teresa is her walking on top of the kitchen cabinets, where I have most of my oil lamp collection. She goes from floor to counter to refrigerator to shelves.
We used to get upset and worry when our cats got up onto the pot shelves. However, we finally figured out that if they could get UP, they could get down. Shelf to fridge to counter to floor.
I was once awakened about 3:30 AM by a loud crash in the kitchen. I carefully tiptoed in with a flashlight in one hand and a baseball bat in the other fully expecting to find a burglar. Instead, I found my Foreman grill lying on the kitchen floor in bits and pieces. When I turned the flashlight to the top of the refrigerator, the former home of the grill, I found my cat sitting calmly on top of the fridge with that, “Why are you looking at ME?” expression of a guilty cat.
bogart likes to use the kitchen counter as his launch pad to the top of the refrigerator. even when there’s no room on the counter, with coffee pot, cups, etc, etc, he still finds space. and still startles me when he makes the jump from floor to counter to fridge.
Unrelated question. Why does the GoComics “Shop” not have the BCN 2018 Calendar. I know it exists—I have 3 copies. The Shop has Georgia’s first book (as we impatiently await the 2nd book), but no mention of the calendar. What’s up with that????

Cats vs. household appliances, round two. So far the appliances seem to be winning.

Isn’t there a counter next to or at least close to the fridge?
Ah well, looks like either the Man or the Woman will have to help poor stranded Elvis. That could be a bit…rough…on the Man, knowing Elvis.

What is it with cats that go up, but can’t get down.

Its the old “How many cat skeletons have you seen in trees ?”NONE. They will come down by themselves when they are good and ready.

I’m lucky, none of my kitties find the top of the fridge appealing. But I also have a ton of crap up there too. :-)
