Having followed For Better or For Worse way back when the dog died, I can tell you that I would’ve been very happy to have seen today’s Foxtrot back then because the melodrama of the dog dying after saving the kid was shocking, especially since—just like the For Better or For Worse cartoonist—many of the comic’s fans forgot it was just a cartoon.

If Paige died rescuing April from drowning, then where’s the real Farley?

I love the phrasing there. “The next time she offs a dog”

Those like me, who didn’t follow For Better or for Worse, may benefit from reading the Wikipedia entry, in particular the section on Farley’s death:

It’s a little tacky, but it is Jason after all.

Knowing Jason, I’m surprised he had to have her in costume to be mistaken for a dog.

Today’s strip not funny the creator should be in trouble but then an old strip, reminds of a certain fired comic.

And some people like Kab, seem to fail to realize that this is a comic about a comic, not a real life comedian doing a joke about a real life person.

It smacks of a certain cruelty that Jason seems to harbor.
