We live in the country, too, but our county has trash pickup. The crew usually drops our wheelie bin in the ditch, but once they put it in our neighbour’s bushes. Took us several days to find it.
Live somewhat in the country and pay a trash service to haul for me. A good local company that has been in business for over 40 years and treats customers like they are real, important people. Cans don’t go missing. Mine never blows away either, it weighs close to 45 pounds.

nice living in the country where you’re miles from the trash collectors… give me a town dump (recycling center) any day…

We live on a hill. One day an almighty wind sent a bunch of trash bins to the bottom of the hill (after pickup, thankfully.)

We were married by the guy who ran the local dump. He’s also a JP.

Well one strip is keeping up with the times, old style trash cans are going the way of the dinosaur.
