Jeffrey, just do what Calvin does. Get a cardboard box and write Transporter on it and give it to Danae. Works for Calvin, especially his Transmogrifier.
Hey, if you pay workers the actual value of their labor, you make no profit.
The engineer designs the chair. The carpenter builds the chair. The salesman sells the chair. The owner – who can do none of those things – gets the money.
Capitalism is a game. If you believe that you get more in money and other benefits than the value of your work and your employer believes that he gets more value from your work than he pays you, then it is a positive sum game and both of you should continue playing it. Too bad it seldom works out this way.

I am lucky. I could retire. I continue to work because as much as my wife and I love each other we’d kill each other if we were together 24/7. Work gets me out of the house. There is the social aspect of interacting with my coworkers. I like the work I do (it’s technical, I am “retired” from management), I feel like I am contributing to the economy and yes, the extra money is really nice. Also, I am under no pressure to climb the corporate ladder and I don’t live in fear of losing my job. So for my part I get more than I put in. Also I am so damned good at what I do, I’m worth at least two employees doing the same work to my employer.
Dilbert has had several strips on this theme. The pointy haired wonder comes up with some crazy idea and then tasks Dilbert with making it work, noting that he already did the “hard work” of thinking up the idea.
He already has a time machine which must also be a transporter or when you time jumped you would not be in the right space because the earth would have moved away from you.

C’mon Jeff, you have a device that sees into the future. Just look and see how the future transporter app works.

That would be IP theft, I don’t think Jeffrey would be in on that.

That’s also the standard Trump vs Supporter split.

Jeffrey can counter the offer with a partnership 50/50 even though he is doing 100% of the work. Should be 99/1

I think its interesting that Jeremy didn’t question the possibility of making a transporter app work.
