Fortunately I live in a neighbourhood with enough old trees to make some crunchy noises as I walk. Of course our trees are still green but when I was a kid they were dropping golden, brown and red leaves by now. Nah, nothing is changing, climate-wise.
I miss the sharp autumns. Here we’re in the middle of a drought and temps still in the 80s, and no it’s not normal. It should be raining. They keep saying it will, but it never does.
This must count as comic strip poetry. Watterson often adds sound effects but I don’t recall the “sounds” ever being the central part of the strip. No wonder we miss him so much.

I wonder if our political leaders have seen this comic? If not they sure need to.

Strips like this is what separated C&H from all the other strips. And make me miss it terribly.

This makes Autumn one of the few things Calvin will “hush up” for!

Autumn here in the Sonoran Desert is still in the mid 90’s. The snowbirds will soon been their way. Not many falling leaves.

Synch with Phoebe and her Unicorn today (they too are in the midst of an autumn scene…).

Didn’t get that chance in Florida, growing up. Now, I do. Autumn is my favorite season.

I’d like Autumn more if it weren’t for the wind storms. A little breeze is fine, but anything strong enough to knock a tree down is unacceptable.

I love Autumn for that very reason.
Beautiful colours and crunching of the leaves. What’s not to like?

We had a Sheltie that loved fall. When he walked through the fallen leaves he would shuffle his feet to make as much noise as he could.
