Iāve seen Coraline ā but I like Neil Gaimanās āThe Graveyard Bookā much better. By the way, Gaiman is teaching at a little college just up the road from our home in New York state.
the movie is great and the other movies from āLaikaā are also great (Paranorman is one of my favorites). And if you like that style, you may also like āDragon huntersā
Going over this cartoon, thinking about it, I thought of that little girl in āMariaās Dayā who has such big blue eyes that I wonder if she has cataracts.

Actually she goes through a door, and finds an apartment occupied by people who more or less resemble the ones she knows in her familiar world.
At first better things seem to happen thereā¦
but to stay, you need to accept shiny buttons being sewn over your eyesā¦.. eeekā¦.

So my takeaway is that Jay is only getting a promotion and a raise cos he walked through such a door.
Heaven knows that the Rita in our world wouldnāt give him those things.
