I’m curious about whether the ink blots were meticulously hand-drawn or just slopped on the way they’re supposed to have occurred. That would seem kind of chancy, in case the spillage was so sloppy it covered up some of the important parts, like the word balloons.

I’d say they were hand drawn for the sake of control. Also, they look like “cartoon” ink blots: unnatural.

If you noticed, all the ink blots are repeated through out the days. The blots are used again, in different combinations.
