Her “Cluelessness Level” is so much better suited to Rufus.

That look on his face foreshadows domestic violence!

Maybe we need some violin music in the background. How about Jack Benny playing “Love in Bloom?”

It’s a shame the mom can’t be a bit more gentle in dashing his hopes. She can be clear but kind about it. Then again, his kiss request was rather forward.

Mom is little clueless, he will explain more.

Maybe Ruthless has a chance after all. Now all they need to do is find out where he is hiding.

Rufus will only ever be “just frien’s” with the widder an’ her young’uns but she could perhaps get Jack to a social event where I am sure some other widow or single person would be exactly looking for a guy like Jack.

She sure has turned hostile to him. And this last bit hammers any hopes down.

She is rather hostile I agree. She was not hostile about his fixing up her waterwheel. She should at least be able to be a bit kinder in her display of no interest.

In my opinion, however, Elam Jackson would be a lot better love interest for her (if she were inclined to have a love interest) than would be Rufus.

Winky should back off of the facility maintenance for a while and see if she comes back around.
