I have a VCR that needs repaired but my regular guy quit and headed for the Caribbean.

I can only assume there’s a similarity between vcr repair and spaceship maintenance. How else could Cliff have gotten the job?

Florida schools went on another path: more and more money went to failing charter schools and less and less money came from the state (the benefits of lowering taxes!) until ALL the schools were third rate, and few could afford to go to college without wealthy parents or massive loan debt.This is called ‘progress’. Of course, the colleges and universities helped by heaping money on tenured professors and reducing their teaching load to near nothing, leaving poorly-prepared grad students to drone endlessly in crowded auditoriums. This is called ‘freedom of expression’. The result: poorly-educated wealthy unmotivated children from wealthy families and desperate middle class youth mired in debt. And a state with more unused toll roads than any other, a do-nothing legislature concentrated on destroying health care, and an ignorant populace with dull expressions watching FRN. My cousin says a lot of the Acme products he gets are developed at that school.
