Yeah, but we have a small family, so there’s not a whole lot of work anyhow. Jello mold and pie Tues or Weds, get the turkey outta the fridge and get it all unwrapped, cleaned, set up for Thursday morn’s into the oven on Weds eve and that’s about it. And, bonus, my husband instituted “She/he who cooks, does not clean.”, so all I have to do is get the food safely stowed in the fridge, the guys do the dishwasher loading. Then we’ve worked up our appetite for the pie.

My first father-in-law had been a cook in both the Army (WWII) and the Navy (Korea). When it came to holiday meals. He did all the cooking.

In most families I know, the men DO cook the turkey. The rest of the cooking is pretty evenly spread among all adults. Maybe this is just an outdated comic?

Let’s start a new tradition, anyone over the chronological of 18 tears old cooks for themselves or goes to Waffle House to eat.

I’m the one who cooks the Thanksgiving feast in our house. My wife is an excellent cook, but this type of meal is more my area of expertise. Oh yeah, and I also washed the dishes afterwards.

My daughter is dating an Englishman so she made beef Wellington, venison Wellington, Yorkshire pudding, and all those fixings. Personally, I’d like to try that sometime too.
