I remember coming into Geneva, Switzerland by train and the moment I saw the fountain (still miles in the distance), I began to cry…realizing I was REALLY THERE!!!

Yes, I was like that with Rome. Not so much Venice, but Betty will find out! I hope they have a great trip, and I will follow them all the way!

I’ve never been to another country—well, I’ve been to Canada.

But I always live vicariously through characters on TV, movies, and comics who travel…

So they left in daylight, flew east for 9 hours and arrive in daylight? I guess that works if it was an overnight flight – but I’m suspicious.

Plus are there any direct flights from US to Venice? It’s a pretty small airport.

I remember the first thing I saw in Venice was a rat swimming in the canal. Quite the first impression…
