All this “those folks are just dumb hicks” is what pushed voters to Trump. If any of you actually knew any Trump voters you might just be surprised at how intelligent they are. Now I realize that doing that would require some compassion and acceptance of others who are different from you. OH, wait that’s what you guys are all about isn’t it?

Typical government (any level) budget process – we want more money from our citizens, so we fund all our pet projects and then tell people we need a tax increase or bond issue because we have no money for police or the schools.

Only problem is most modern pols stop at the first panel, and rarely, if ever, find reason to consider any one item as important to protect.

The last thing a politician wants is for education to be cut. And I’m talking about both sides of the parties.
