@Alexikakos – and anyone else that thinks hunting is ‘horrible’, I invite you to Michigan for a drive on our highways. On a simple 30 mile drive you will see 2 or more dead bloated deer on the roads. We are so overpopulated with deer that a lot of the herds suffer from Bovine Tuberculosis which is spread easily due to the crowding of too many deer in one area. So if the cars don’t hit them the disease will get them, I would much rather have the hunters harvest them. Also with the spread of suburbs a lot of the Bambi lovers are changing their tunes as the deer are eating their landscaping.
Aside from eating the landscaping and underbrush that birds need for nesting sites, as well as suffering from disease and malnutrition, deer are tick magnets. The explosion of ticks and accompanying diseases occurred with the explosion of the deer population. If one does not like hunting deer, what whould be needed are more wolves, lots of them.

And probably the closest the deer will get to you.

Worst looking deer ever! The antlers look like they’re sticking out of its head! Not your best work, Hart Jr.!

Dude, you couldn’t get any closer to that deer without being inside it.

The antlers look more like a combination of moose and deer. And suddenly there are trees. But, it is a comic strip, after all. Who needs accuracy?
