You can’t, we have tracing in Europe and can tell the name of the cow (or rather its ref number) and the farm it came from.

Does GoComics load really slowly for anyone else? Going back to previous days is even worse. I was gone for about a week and am just now catching up. Clicking the back arrow brings up the previous day’s comic – eventually. GoComics didn’t start loading slowly until a few weeks ago, and I made sure that it’s not the fault of my computer. It’s clean, according to a variety of programs that I ran.

That 400 meter rock, A/2017 U1, is on a grand tour of the galaxy. At 158,400 kph it just came by for a quick look-see. Next on its itinerary Pegasus.

I know where my beef comes from. I grow on my own small acreage, then take to a trusted butcher for processing and packaging. It tastes better, too, since grown on grass, not finished in a feedlot.

I realize that isn’t possible for most. Even buying local, grass-fed, beef isn’t feasible for many. It is too expensive for average or less-fortunate consumers.

For the European commenters that have tracking available per pound, how much is a pound of ground beef? How much for a strip steak? My guess is, like non-factory beef in the US, that the prices are prohibitive for much beef consumption.

@JARVISLOOP – loading problems? Pay the lousy $15 or so dollars per year to become a GC INSIDER, a pack of cigarettes or a couple of trips to McDonalds as a sacrifice are a small price to pay.

I am feeling another “anti science” strand again from JJ. Hoping it is not the case though. Astronomy and physics are very valuable sciences and we learn a great deal through the discoveries that are made.

In regards to knowing where meat comes from…. well…. it is a challenge. Probably the best choice to consider if budget prevents you from buying what you want from known sources would be to eat more of a “Mediterranean” style of diet… where grains, fruits, & vegetables form the vast majority of the diet and the meat that is consumed is far smaller proportionally (more like a small side dish). The smaller quantity would be more economical and you would be more likely to be better able to afford it being from a known source.

…I don’t think it was an “anti-science” strip by JJ – it’s more like an update on the old “We can put a man on the moon, why can’t we cure the common cold?” complaint…

Does anyone find it odd that this interstellar “object” passed by the Earth and thru the Goldilocks Zone, but by passed all the other planets? Just random chance?
