A nightmare of Marx having destroyed his own eyes so he wouldn’t see the destruction of Endtown that is ensuing. Powerful imagery. I know Jackrabbit was glad to be awakened by the urgent com call, but reality might be nearly as bad as the nightmare once he finds out the details of the emergency.
Weeds of dissent? Growing shoots of evil? And it falls on Jackrabbit to pluck them before they grow. For whatever reasons, Jackrabbit seized authority; but I think he still intends to manage Endtown successfully. He needs it to survive as much as anyone else does. And someone as sneaky and ruthless as he is might have to take major steps to pluck those “weeds”.
Wasn’t Jack (David Hopkins) a genocidal jackrabbit leader in life? Is that the inspiration of this character?BTW, I love the Fantastic Racism trope. I have done a couple furry backgrounds (one a semi-official GURPS setting) using this trope myself.
Marx may be using dittos to project dreams into people with important things to do. He’s going heavy on the eye imagery because he wants them to remember and notice eyes for some reason. It might have to do with the speculated “I” entity, or maybe an eye is just an eye.
Matthew 5:29“And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”
Speaking about the rats, I read somewhere (forget where) that the rats are special in some way…are they mutated rats instead of mutated humans or something? Anybody know anything about this?
It’s been a while since this one came out. Looking back on it with what we know now, anyone have any crazy theories on how all of this could be connected to “eye”?

I dreamed Aaron Marx wept blood.

Eye would want to wake up, too!

Marx had a soft spot for Flask, and wanted to see her happy. I don’t think he has the same feeling for Jacob. At All.

Reap what you have sown. Eye saw what you did there.

Well since it has all started, might as well shed more blood. Time for a Wolf hunt.

Being mayor of Endtown isn’t all beer and skittles and promoting your inner animals, right?

I hope, too, that’s just dream blood on Jackrabbit’s jacket. Blood is hard to get out, and Heather Hoss’s Cleaners is probably still closed.

Marx looks real creepy here and also fat. his face is swollen, his cheeks are puffy. I would look as scared as Jacob at the sight of him.

did rabbit pull out Marx’s optic nerve?
