Since temperatures rarely get that low even in the arctic, how did they test this? Did they put a fox in a freezer and crank the temperature down until it started to shiver?
Not buying it. When does it ever get below -90 F in the Arctic? And who was outside watching foxes all night when it was that cold? Maybe what Ripley means is “arctic foxes never shiver,” which is interesting in itself, but different from claiming that they start to shiver when the thermometer drops below -90.

How cold does the Arctic even get?

Anyone who uses SI units, arctic foxes won’t shiver until -67.78 Celsius or 205 kelvin

I don’t care what units they use- if it is below the equivalent of 30 F, I ain’t going.
