Yay! Star Trek. My favorite TV show when I was Red’s age.

Looks like the TV is jumping off the floor with excitement in panel three.

That intro still gives me goose bumps! And Uhura was definitely a groundbreaking character! Love my little darlings, Red and Rover!

Or, as my dad said, “To go where no man has gone before… the women’s room!”

Well, Red and Rover are now in the late 60s. I used to watch Star Trek first-run and that was from 1966-69. I was also in the Army at the time. HQ 5th Army – located in the Chicago area at that time.

BBC America has been airing the original on Friday’s a lot. I’ve been recording them. I have DISH and it always tells you when an episode originally aired. It’s neat to look at that and think back ‘I was in the 6th grade for that one’ ‘7th for this one’ etc. BBC doesn’t do it every weekend but when they do it’s like 12 hrs in a row.

H&I (Heroes and Icons) broadcasts all of the Star Trek shows every weeknight starting at 8:00 PM with the original series, then TNG at 9, DS9 at 10, Voyager at 11 and Enterprise at 12 AM. Here in Charlotte, it’s 46.3 over the air. You can go to their web site to see if any of the cable companies carry them in your area as well.

She had been there. Before Majel, at least.
