Apparently, Teresa’s turkey isn’t good enough for the overlords. What do they have against Teresa? I say her turkey is too good for them!

But it was more than a chrysalis, really. When I think about it now, it was sort of like who I was had become a Thanksgiving turkey, and who I was to be, a delicious sage and onion stuffing. I was moving beyond my ordinary mortal existence and into a realm of mind and magic. Into a reality that was pliable and fluid. And maybe, out of my mind.

That looks painful.

Let us put that turkey out of its misery. Wait; I’ll get my big carving knife….

[later] Got it. Now just hold out your hand. We’ll run a little boiling-hot water over it to loosen those feathers, then pluck them; next we’ll proceed to the beheading of the bird.

@BrassOrchid. I like how you incorporate key words from previous FAs and use them in your comments. Case in point: hellish people (weeks ago), chrysalis (from yesterday), etc. I recognize the words from previous strips, but only after you weave them in. My short-term memory isn’t good enough to recall them from scratch.
