Get your pets microchipped! Then the lost ones can be reunited with their People. (Although this wouldn’t help Tommy right now, since he has yet to be found.)
I just love how neat and tidy Tommy is to hang up his mittens and cap, and how he takes care to warm up Elvis with his coat and make a bed for him. Tommy has the true gift of giving and hospitality.
Ah, the tree! Two days ago I reassembled the Christmas tree, again. Hoped I could at least put lights on it. Still standing complete yesterday, until I was late with their supper. Heard a crash. Yep, tree on its side, missing branches. Worst part? I was late with supper because I was out buying cat food! What’s a girl to do?
Sigh heavily, fix the tree, and thank God your babies are with you. We lost our American bulldog a few weeks ago. I really wish she were here to make mischief.
Hey everyone! We broke 200 comments yesterday! Alas, part of it was because a regular commenter had some bad news to share, but all those hugs and support still count, right?
And Georgia, Re your Perfect Strangers mention yesterday, thanks a lot for putting the theme song in my head for the rest of the day. I’m so prone to earworms it’s not even funny. I’ve been wondering for a while now, have you ever seen the episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent where Larry plays an insurance investigator with Asperger’s, or the episode where Balki plays an evil dentist? Trippy. (Right up there with the one where Stephen Colbert plays a master forger with mommy issues.)
Good news to report! The doctor thinks it could just be a stomach ulcer. He’s prescribed Andy a course of antibiotics and if he’s not feeling better by Monday, to make another appointment. Fingers crossed that will help him and we won’t have to explore any deeper. I hope to God the antibiotics do the trick. Thank you BCN Mega-Orbsters for your thoughts and prayers and for being here for me. (( ((hugs)) )) @Jacqueline: I sure hope your surgery went well and your convalescence is swift! <3
I keep a trafic cone in the van just in case i have to park somewhere that there isn’t a Handycap parking space available to me when I’m transporting someone. I can use the cone to block off the parking space on the ramp side to keep it open.
I’m going to have to do that light and cone thing one of these years.
We had one of ours outside over the weekend. She’d gone out a few times, not just supervised, but being carried.
A car spooked her, and she panicked. We managed to get her most of the way to the house before she broke free, but she ran straight into the garage and we got her inside with no problems.
Just asking, is anyone else bothered by the new white bar that drops down over the top of the page? Can I get it to go away? And I can’t scroll the likes anymore. Am I a nut case or is there a new way to see them? I miss not seeing who liked what people said. :-(

Yeah! The Tommy tree :) And so typical of Tommy that he wraps Elvis in his coat to warm him up. This world could use more Tommys

I love Tommy wrapping Elvis in the coat. I don’t remember that from before. And his cone Christmas tree makes me smile.

Tommy is the kind of friend who gives you the smallest box he has because he knows it will make you feel happy and safe.

Sigh … yes, Elvis not all cats have People to look after them. But some have people who miss their cats and look for them.

Say, isn’t that a Christmas cactus in the second panel?

Tommy was born with the most valuable survival skill there is: the impulse to be happy with whatever happens to you.

I loved what several people called the “tree” yesterday, Tommybaum!! Soon to be as famous as the Charlie Brown tree.

Out of curiosity I checked, and orange traffic cones are, like everything else, available at Amazon.
