I don’t see anything wrong with that; it’s basically “just” coordinate substitution. Although the resulting maths and some of the laws of physics are going to get pretty messy (at which point anyone with any sense sends for William of Ockham – but then again, it seems not everyone’s on first name terms with him).

Most of us in the family hate that he and I keep vying for both the most famous and the most infamous member of the family.
