Knock it, if you will, questioning authority has become a much more serious need in our society, given our head of state. Indeed it appears the head is the authority that needs the most rigorous questioning.
Listen, BC, that’s their purpose. Every single one of us should question and mistrust the authority. I don’t care if it’s Republican or Democrat, I don’t trust them one bit. And the courts are (supposed to be) above that all. We clearly need legislation for many issues in our lives. Immigration, for example. But the Congress is cowardly. Which is why both President Obama and Mr. Trump issued executive orders. Neither one of them should have had to do so, but Congress failed. We need judicial review, it is an essential part of our government.
@corpcasselbury: You slam me with little evidence except your own bias and you are very way off base.
I would have the same question about any leader, no matter his or her race, religion, or political bias, if he or she showed the kinds of ?variations? (that’s as charitable a term as I can apply here) that have been exhibited on the national level every day of every week since 2016.
If anyone takes the time to compare a large sample of output from the source, those variations – some skirting extremely close to endangering world peace – would be plainly evident.
Now, that’s my standard and my opinion. You are free to state your disagreement with either. Whether you do so logically and with respect or without is your choice.
