My take at least, is that whenever the cat hasn’t eaten the food by bedtime, Janis throws it away. She thinks it’s obvious that of COURSE she would throw that nasty food away instead of letting it rot all night, and she’s giving Arlo the “Really? You’re so clueless” look. Or maybe it’s the “Do you really think I’d let the kitchen stay that filthy and smelly” look. Meanwhile, of course, Arlo actually is that clueless.
The cat will eat when it gets hungry enough- usually after it’s shredded the toilet paper roll, knocked over a lamp or two, and horked up a hairball on the pillows…
The solution to this is to not put down any canned cat food until evening. That way it won’t be around long enough to go bad. Or Janis could just put down dry food for Luddy. That won’t spoil and he can eat some whenever he gets hungry.
This reminds me of my Dixie Lee she tires easily of her foods. Torti and Dallas never get tired of eating the same thing I guess it’s because they are still kittens.

At our house, it is dry cat food and the cats try to eat it ere the possums do.

I’d wonder too if if I could be sure the cat was eating it.

So, is Arlo unintentionally confessing to eating Ludwig’s chow?
Tyge about 7 years ago
Arlo knows all about the feeding habits of the Ludwig. At least most of them. Janis, on the other hand…

Do not understand why Arlo is shrugging.

Our smallest dog likes to stuff herself in the evening, so she skips breakfast.
