Well, they are birding, in their own way. Neal is rocking his plywood inserts. Kurt, not so much.

There’s four odd ducks you can check off your life list.

Neal’s wife, Edna brings them drinks every so often. Anything to keep them out in the back where the neighbors won’t see them.

    I don’t know why Edna has a problem…

    I think they look great!

I’d be proud to be a member myself!

I wonder whether there are any women in the group….

maybe we can’t see everybody in this view, or maybe attendance varies.

Some Ballard St clubs have a Ladies Auxiliary…

    What’s that, Neal?

    OH!

    It’s not a separate club, it’s a special-interest offshoot of the Pulley Club….

and I’d have to make a bird harness.

Well, I think I can get help with that….

I know somebody who can make anything….

but I’d like mine to have a small seat, like on a swing,

so I don’t have to dangle in just a harness.

I wonder what kind of refreshments to bring….

    I hate to say it….

but they don’t exactly look as though they eat… well, you know…. like birds.

Before I go… I didn’t get back here in time to answer a question yesterday…..

Therapy Pets…. you asked me whether I’m funny….

and you know, it’s kind of a coincidence….

cos earlier in the day my very good friend Mrs. Pobbleshack, who of course has only my best interests at heart,

had told me that she heard some ladies talking….

she thinks it was about me….

and she says they said “There’s something funny about that Susan.”

    So I guess so!

As Susan so adroitly pointed out, the Swinging Birders are an auxiliary group of Ballard Dock, Davit and Pulley Club.

There’s also the Ballard Bosun’s Chair Coalition who hang around the wharf in Ballard Harbor.

There’s lots of folks in Ballard, who like to swing in different ways. Just ask SherifMunkyBluzs !

It was a natural offshoot of the Pulley Society. Actually they all were kicked out of the Pulley Society for gross misdemeanors relating to the use of ropes.

The reason they’re all excited is because Michael Keaton is the guest tonight.
