Varnes the first year we moved to Virginia after living in Western NY where you got snow by the foot every freaking day till April (sometimes)….it snowed in Blacksburg, an “inch” mind you…it was nothing well we waited to go to the grocery store and got there and the shelves were picked clean…we couldn’t believe it. The lady told us that was a lot of snow for them.

Time for some petunias… they take cold, yes? …and while I’m here, the colorist person made Janis’ hair a shade or two lighter… Looks nice, Janis. :-)

Not really sad…
though it gave Janis a suddenly unsettled feeling….
I think it just means they’re seriously considering that move to the coast.
It’s unnerving to think about uprooting themselves after so many years…
but it should have a happy result..

LIke Janis, I, too, hear the knock on the door. The future is uncertain, and the end is always near.

“If I knew I would die tomorrow, I would plant a tree today.” Don’t remember who I am quoting, but I can’t forget the thought.

To paraphrase, “Who of you by worrying has added one minute to her/his life?”

We drag our Meyers Lemon tree inside every year, where it dies back because the air is too dry.
