I was once standing on friendā€™s deck picking & eating some very nice cherries off the tree right beside it.

I asked ā€œWhat are those little dots on the deck?ā€

ā€œWeā€™re right under an approach lane for Oā€™Hare; when they come in they dump their excess fuel so it doesnā€™t burn as much if they crash.ā€

I ate no more of his cherriesā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.

Dani Rice: Myself, I am doubtful about anything that purports to be organic. The last time I checked, the labeling laws are too lax for my taste.Itā€™s a little like eggs from ā€œcage-freeā€ chickens. As long as the chickens are out of their cages for an hour a day, the eggs can be labeled as ā€œcage free.ā€

iā€™ll never forget how clear the skies were that week. As an amateur stargazer i notice these things. iā€™ve observed how contrails will coalesce to become 10/10 cloud cover under certain conditions.

My wife was raised in Louisiana and Florida. She has a picture of her car in The Great Tampa Blizzard of ā€˜76 (or 77?), if you look really close you can see some snow on the hood. Anyway, We get quite a bit more snow here in the Ozarks (though not nearly as much as many of you), and now that I have introduced her to snow cream 30 + years ago, she doesnā€™t think winter is complete unless we fix some. Come to think of it, after 56 years of eating it, (and never getting sick afterwards raw egg and all), I feel the same. :)

    A bowl of ā€œsnow ice creamā€? Itā€™s like every 4th panel is a non-sequitur lately.
