Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
I either get it in 15 minutes or at 3 a.m. Itâs quite amazing what can be found when you rummage around in your memories. For example, I just remembered the Russian word for âdictionaryâ from college Russian. Donât know why; I just did.
@PSCHEARER is right about those 3am remembrances !Like all of us of a certain age some of our short term memory seems to occasionally elude us, while we can suddenly recall something from when we were children.
I have a trivial mind. Minutiae hangs around in my little grey cells forever,⌠but⌠I somehow, canât remember what my wife said, five minutes ago !
The problem is that your brain is like a file cabinet. When you are young and there isnât much in there, you can find the correct folder easily. At my age (73), itâs all still there, but the file Iâm looking for is probably jammed in behind the one that contains all the words to âItsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikiniâ.
When I got my first computer in the 90âs, I was instructed to âdefragmentâ often to keep info easily accessible. Soon after I came up with the idea that, one day technology and science will get together and learn how to defrag the brain⌠could happenâŚ
This happens to me all the time! Someoneâs name will suddenly come to me in the shower, in the middle of a church service, in the middle of a conv about something unrelated. My memory is goodâŚitâs just the processing that is running VERY slow!

Just like my 90 year old father-in-law claims his eyesight is as good as when he was 6.

I once read a book called âHow to Improve Your Memoryâ

Oldest joke in the book, I know.
