It is so funny to see todayās kids snapping up various styles of antennae to attach to their television for āfreeā TV. They donāt seem to know or remember that broadcast TV has always been free. Itās only the cable and satellite services that cost money.
I still use a 10-foot span herringbone, with 12 radials on each side of the beam, tapering from 3-to-1 foot, at the tips. Admittedly, since I have roughly 60-feet of under-turf coaxā-I do use a signal-amp, to compensate for loss. But Iāve no problem whatsoever, with the O.T.A.-digital-signals. (Or I should say, my-wife has no problem with such: Iāve not watched more than an-hoursā total on it in the past-year.) Thatās what I have Broadband Internet for, instead! Helluva-lot more entertainingā¦!
