I used to tell my son stuff like that and then back it up with another line from Dad in a different strip…“That’s what it says in the Dads Handbook!”

Actually Calvin is correct. The big difference between mammals and bugs is that all of that stuff happens inside of the mother. But a “grub” is a good description of a blastocyst.
