At least Horn Hair is on the ball instead of on the take.

Now if we only knew how it would be used as evidence.

And another panel is wasted in delaying the next, for want of a better word, event.

Spacy has forgotten about having a gun and what the laws are. Will this comic finish up next month with Spacy being declared senile?

So how many people yesterday knew that this was coming? And we’re not paid to create this mess.

Testicle Chin looks more bored than usual. Does this mean that the Locher Mess Monster has developed a third template for the character?

“Not only that, Tracy … but the envelope is evidence, too.”

    “That’s right, Thick.”

“Easy come, easy go, unlike the lice.”

Finally Liz has decided to take a stand and stop enabling Dick. She must be going to Codependants Anonymous meetings or something.

Great scott, looks like you guys were right all along! Dick should have known that money was evidence. Was he just kidding about keeping the money? If not, this is not the old Dick Tracy I knew and loved.

Ya know, looking at him hold that bill makes me wonder if the strip operates in an alternate reality, a reality where everybody has velcro fingertips. It would explain how everybody can hold a phone to their ear without gripping it. It would also explain the deformed thumbs which have become vestigial due to lack of use…

    Tomorrow’s strip -

Panel 1 - “That $1000 bill will be used in evidence.”

Panel 2 - “Not only that, Tracy …”

    Panel 3 - “That bill is …”

    Saturday’s strip -

Panel 1 - “Not only that, Tracy …”

    Panel 2 - “That bill is …”

    Panel 3 - “Counterfeit!”

You talk about playing out the clock ! Locher should have been born a football coach. except the way he understands things, he’d be down thirty points and running out the clock.

Shows just how LOCHER’S Dick Tracy has degenerated in basic “know how’ When a little stripling who joined the force under his wing (in the Flattop Jr. story), now as Chief has to verbally discipline him on correct everyday police proceedure.

It’s painful to see how many basic errors or hero now makes, going by “hunches” rather than using clues to solve cases. Staking out One Eye Jack with a listening device ALONE (where was Teevo ?) and after a fight forgeting to “hand cuff” (a knocked out) Jack which later led to his death.

Today, clues are given a little “cermony” because it’s a Detective strip, but think of it, they never lead to anything ! (?)

If davidf42 is right and the money is indded ‘counterfeit’ that raises another problem. Did D’Buckworth have a ”death wish” ? or was the whole plot line just darned stupid? Why a disguise ? When inevitably, you are going to “blow it” by drawing ‘attention’ to yourself giving out huge denomination bills and then even more stupidly, compounding stupid activity with a CRIME.

The only ‘OUT’ for Locher, is the one BillT suggested the man is plumb CRAZY ! (?)

But Locher’s not ALIVE enough to use it he’s just going to move on !

Whoa there, davidf! Don’t you think you’re moving a little fast there? This is Tracy country. We don’t take kindly to speeders!

There’s no way we’re going to find out that bill is counterfeit before Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is one week away! I honestly hope this is over before Christmas…though donating some of the money to a worthy charity could tie into that time of the year .Mr. Locher does tend to draw things out…

Sydney Phillips, I don’t think that declaring D-cubed insane would give Locher much of an out here. Locher would have to explain the nature of the insanity, and it would have to fit everything we’ve seen. Paranoia and megalomania? Maybe. But what about the charges that Agent Norton made? Even in an absurd comc strip it is ridiculous to blame one man for the 2008 global economic meltdown.

I’ve stopped wondering who D-cubed is supposed to represent. Now I wonder about Locher himself. Did someone at TMS give Locher this strip as a sinecure? Has this arc been so erratic because he keeps trying to make political statements, and some editor keeps vetoing that?

So far the saddest arc has been the Cluemeister bit. We see a short, fat, elderly, blind German–wham, he’s really Thick in an excellent disguise! Meanwhile the real Cluemeister tries to enter the Pentagon with a package bomb; he’s turned away but not detained by two rifle-toting guards. And did anyone know that a helicopter can autorotate to a safe landing after its rotor is destroyed?

NVash, I don’t know of any site that praises this strip. I think the universe would implode if so much idiocy was concentrated in one spot.

Hey, Simon Penn praises the dickens out of this strip. Simon, Mattie, Jeffie………. maybe even Judy Hansel praises it. It’s a “fambly” thang.

Let’s charge Tracy for stealing evidence. Throw him into the slammer with triple D and his old lady and call it a day.

    End of the series.

Just like the last episode of Seinfeld.
