Is the cul de sac even near a pond?

They’re the right length for beaver sticks.

The Western PA Conservancy has been planting thousands of native trees in the City of Pittsburgh. Last week a bunch that lined a trail along the river beside our stadiums disappeared. Yep. Beavers enjoying city life next to where the three rivers meet. Nature is nothing if not adaptable and resilient.

A stick in time saves nine.

How does one become a stick connoisseur?

Maybe it’s the Blair Witch. LOL

I love Alice.

What about a pointed stick?

We got one of those in our front yard. Our (former) dog’s collection.

Dam those beavers :)

“Do beavers infest houses?”

“Dammed” if I know. (rim shot)

Furrier than termites.

I can relate to Alice and Beni today. Natural appreciation for something just because of its good form and potential usefulness. The result, of course, is that you collect too many examples of it, “just in case”.

And so Otter(loop) Lodge was born.

There are Accumulators in this world, and there are Disruptors. Alice Accumulates, and so do I (though my main weakness is books rather than sticks)….
