Let’s see, last I heard, it costs a thousand dollars a pound to launch cargo into space. So it cost somebody about $500 to get that hubcap into Dr Mel’s hand.
Maybe Dr. Mel just brought it aboard using his transporter. Of course, then there is the cost of getting the transporter on board and the one or two spleens that probably got trashed in the process…
