I think resting is checking it before you get out of bed. Maximum is 270 minus your age. That’s what you shouldn’t exceed. I might have the number wrong on that.
MHR is aproximately 220 minus your age. You really don’t have to know it. If you do regular cardio exercise and monitor your heart rate you come to realize that you’ve reached your MHR when you start feeling that you’ve pushed hard enough and should back off.
Having a heart is one’s first gift. Keeping it operating is one’s life long journey. And not just the one from the recliner to the kitchen for beer and chips.
@Scherzo I guess I need more education so I can properly criticize comics instead of laugh at them. In this case, I assumed that the principal was having the same thought as me after a reference to maximum heart rate: sex!
How hard do you try to hang on to something you will eventually lose anyway? I asked myself that question while in the hospital recovering from multiple blood clots in both legs and lungs. Life is a gift. Enjoy it.
