For some reason I was taught a few Brit spellings in the U.S. Once I realized that, I switched from “grey” to “gray”. But I still prefer “judgement” over “judgment”. But the Brits can keep their “tyre” and “kerb”.
Although American, I prefer Grey. My spellchecker, on the other hand, would rather I didn’t. Plebe. It must have been some book or series I read as a child. Other than “color” (and comment boards), I seem to prefer British spellings and grammar most of the time.
