From yesterday, Shon Howell and BP: The beans having been spilled, that Sarah survived Unity; I almost glossed over that Holly was around, too – though I thought she was in a self-imposed exile onboard the Edmund Fitzgerald. Shout out to BP: I was thinking the exact same thing – Why not Jim? He was, as you said, a far more interesting character AND! Before his “schism,” was perhaps the most human character in this strip!

Letting everyone think that Foxworthy is the pig-killer is disillusioning them!

Sure, it’s been a while since a pig has been killed, but that’s all part of the plan to frame Foxworthy. Right now, it looks like Foxworthy’s fate is sealed. But Moffatt is no fool. He knows it’s just a matter of time before the real pig-killers get another craving for pork. He’s safe (for now!) because going after him would guarantee the police getting more involved.

There’s probably another smokehouse getting prepped up for business at this very moment.

Chief knows the situation. The Rats will ensure Endtown survives. The call came from them not the mayor. Like he pointed out to the mayor the other day. 50……lobotomized.

Just what the mystery killer needs. People lulled into a false sense of security.

Maybe Endtown just needs a newspaper that puts your brain to sleep. You can’t get hanged for sedation.

What will Dottie think, when she sees her editor being executed? Will she worry about her own crimes as an editor? What about Lucas, the journalist? (Is he still alive, by the way?)

More evidence that a dictatorship is in place, or Endtown’s government is rapidly becoming one. The police are subject to the authority of Security and not allowed to question orders. I wonder how long this has been the case?

In earlier strips the rats seemed to be officious, overzealous nuisances. Now they’ve shown themselves to be ruthless and truly dangerous.

Grout wouldn’t recognize one of the rats as “sir,” so that probably was Jake, who is really good at reading the situation and figuring out which side of the rope his neck lies. He recovers fast, though. But, this may be cover for continuing his search for the mole in his office that stole his letterhead.

For whatever reason, I just realized that Philo’s name could be a play on Philo Farnsworth. I can’t think of any particular significance to that, though; all Farnsworth did was invent the electron beam raster scan used in analog TV and CRT monitors.

I don’t like the turn things have taken, but I don’t like them in real life either. The rats have really changed rather suddenly and I would like to know why. The rats don’t fit the bill as Dictator, but somebody probably does. The rats Seem to be in charge, but I doubt if they are. Way back in March 3 and 7 there was a character, Flanagan, I think, and Walt asked him by name what was going on. He looked like a rat, a real rat with a tail, not one of the security rats. I’m wondering if there are a few who mutated into real rats like him while we know that the security rats were never people, and they have changed so fast from little tiny clowns , to losing their tails, to getting bigger and now as big as the citizens; maybe someone is messing around with their DNA like in an evil lab. So that when they needed to have bigger rats, smarter rats, more aggressive rats, they did experiments on them and whoever runs the rat lab would be the dictator.

When did the Rats decide there was an excessive population? Like was said previously, the citizens didn’t ever do anything but cause a lot of work for the rats, The rats probably came to resent that, but there has Never been any evidence for too many people. And talk about a current issue. I’m not sure when the Georgia Guidestones, America’s Stonehenge, were put up, but they are going to work on that principle with a vengeance. Don’t trust Bill Gates.

I’m still wondering if there’s someone at the top that we don’t know about yet, directing the rats and their “scheme of terror”. Whether it’s a “head rat” in charge such as Freeman who ordered Philo’s death, or someone else. Someone is calling the shots… directives like this aren’t usually done via committee.

“For the greater good” has been used by despots and despotic governments to control and subdue the general populace for centuries. It usually ends in violent revolution with the heads of the despots on pikes for all to see.

you know, this whole thing is being handled wrong, not only is he an important witness in the serial killer case, but he was clearly a dupe for the sedition thing too. Executing him means not only the pig killer running free, but also the REAL seditious element in the town runs free too. The rats want to stroke their dicks over a job well done getting rid of a perceived threat, but they’re letting the real threat get away.

Politics! We need a hero and there seems to be a dearth of them right now.

I am afraid the rats have too much work and limited food supply. Just thinking the long way thinning the herd and hiding the evidence.

Well no duh he was framed, a little common sense goes a long way but apparently the citizens of endtown have a low supply of that.

How much of the current state of events would have never occurred. – or- To the contrary might of occurred much sooner if, one of the variety of mutations had been SHMOO’s. It wouldn’t surprise me if it turned out that the rats were the ones behind the pig murders.
